Practice: Driving range & Putting green practice 7:30 – 2:30 pm

Registration: Check-in at registration tent 10 minutes prior to tee time

Alpha Omega Veterans Services will host the 17^th Annual Alpha Omega Golf Classic on Monday September 12th, 2022 at Windyke Country Club. This annual golf classic honors the losses that our great nation incurred on 9/11 and serves as a reminder of how our country was forever changed on that day. This being the 21st anniversary of this tragic event, we hope to not only remember, but build a future that honors those lives lost that fateful day. 

This event provides much needed funding that allows us to serve the military veterans who have fought for our precious freedoms, defended our Constitution and who now so desperately need our support and assistance.

Alpha Omega Veterans Services is headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee that assists military veterans reintegrate back into society, often after achieving recovery and rehabilitation from debilitating mental and physical conditions. Alpha Omega has served more than 14,000 veterans with over a 90% success rate in its 35-years of operation. At full capacity, we serve approximately 100 veterans at our five housing facilities located in Memphis, TN; which include transitional supportive housing at Madison & Vinton. Our permanent supportive housing locations are located at Court Avenue and Ball Road Depot location has our Townhouses & SRO facilities.

Our Urban Farm & Garden, located at our Ball Road facility provides fresh food and improves the quality of life for our clients by utilizing therapeutic gardening, farm-to-table cooking courses, nutrition & environmental education classes, volunteer and employment opportunities, as well. Our holistic approach that also includes alternative therapies, such as horticultural therapy through our Urban Farm, equine therapy, art therapy and fishing.

Our newest addition is a 22,000 square foot building that will serve as our administrative headquarters & house our veterans in a campus style facility that will not only be new housing, but enhanced transitional supportive services for our veterans. The facility will also offer services for our permanently housed veterans, such as an exercise gym, library, basketball gymnasium, hobby shop & full service PC Lab.

Windyke Country Club, located at 8535 Winchester Rd, Memphis, TN 38125, offers tree lined fairways with mature oaks, pines & cypress trees, beautiful lakes, and Champion Bermuda, maintained at a speed of 10’ to 11’ on the stimpmeter. It is known for consistently great fairways and is considered one of the best courses in Memphis.
