Dogs 2nd Chance is a local 501[c] public charity. We are a mixed breed dog rescue group. We have saved over 1,400 lives since our inception in September 2007. We spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinate, treat parvo and other deadly diseases, including heartworms. We also work to facilitate life changing orthopedic surgeries for our dogs in need.
No dog is ever turned away due to breed or medical needs. Dogs are only turned away due to lack of foster homes.
Our goal is to find forever homes for each dog in addition to raising awareness about the importance of spaying and neutering pets. We work to promote responsible pet care and aid in the search for owners of lost dogs.
Dogs 2nd Chance is not a shelter and receives no government funding. Our nominal adoption fee barely covers a healthy dog that is with us short term. We depend on donations and fundraisers to continue our mission of saving precious lives. We are all volunteers. No one is paid. All proceeds go to the care of the dogs.
